YouTube Personalities, Information Credibility — Impact on Viewer Purchase Intention

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing intention to purchase a product reviewed on YouTube. The online surveys were administered with 431 respondents. Simple regression analysis was conducted to clarify the impact of YouTube personalities (e.g., sincerity, excitement, competence, sophistication, ruggedness) on information credibility and the impact of information credibility on intention to purchase.

Results indicate that sincerity, excitement, competence, sophistication, and ruggedness had a positive impact on information credibility, whereas information credibility had a positive impact on intention to purchase.

การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อความตั้งใจในการซื้อสินค้าของผู้ชมการรีวิวในยูทูป โดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจด้วยแบบสอบถามออนไลน์ และเก็บข้อมูลจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 431 คน การวิเคราะห์การถดถอยอย่างง่าย (Simple regression analysis) ถูกใช้เพื่ออธิบายอิทธิพลของบุคลิกภาพของยูทูปด้านความจริงใจ ความน่าตื่นเต้น ความสามารถ ความโก้หรู และความแข็งแกร่ง ต่อความน่าเชื่อถือของข้อมูล และอิทธิพลของความน่าเชื่อถือของข้อมูลต่อความตั้งใจในการซื้อสินค้า

ผลการวิจัยพบว่าบุคลิกภาพด้านความจริงใจ ความน่าตื่นเต้น ความสามารถ ความโก้หรู และความแข็งแกร่ง มีอิทธิพลเชิงบวกต่อความน่าเชื่อถือของข้อมูล และความน่าเชื่อถือของข้อมูลมีอิทธิพลเชิงบวกต่อความตั้งใจในการซื้อสินค้า
