SOCIAL CAPITAL AND COMMUNITY PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT OF FARM WOMEN GROUP CHONBURI PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of this research are 1. to study the development of the formation of Suan Ma Praw community farm women group, Nong Khang Khok Subdistrict, Mueang Chonburi, Chonburi province 2. to analyze social capital and the use of social capital to create strengthening and sustainability of community’s product. This research used qualitative research methodology with 10 key informants, divided into 3 groups as follows: 1. chairman and 6 group members, 2. 3 related government officers, and 3. Local wisdom scholar by using related document, in-depth interview and focus group discussion

The study found that the application of social capital in group development can be divided into 3 parts: 1. For group formation, social capital embodied in person especially chairman and in group expressed in the form of harmony, cooperation and relatives, all of them were important to group formation. 2. Social capital was so vital to strengthen and to sustain community product. 3. Social capital was crucial both as internal factor and external factor through collaboration within group and cooperation with organizations outside group. Therefore, guidelines for developing strong and sustainable group are as follows 1. Government agencies, private sector and public sector must be taken seriously in sustainable development of the group continually 2. Human development and human potential development are vital to group strengthen and sustainability.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ 1. ศึกษาพัฒนาการของการก่อรูปของกลุ่มแม่บ้านฯ ชุมชนสวนมะพร้าว ตำบลหนองข้างคอก อำเภอเมืองชลบุรี จังหวัดชลบุรี 2. เพื่อวิเคราะห์ทุนทางสังคมและการใช้ทุนทางสังคมเพื่อสร้างความเข็มเเข็งและยั่งยืนของผลิตภัณฑ์ชุมชนกลุ่มแม่บ้านฯ งานวิจัยนี้ใช้ระเบียบวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ซึ่งมีผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก (Key-informants) จำนวน 10 คน แบ่งออกเป็น 3 กลุ่ม ดังนี้ 1. ประธานและสมาชิกกลุ่มฯ จำนวน 6 คน 2. เจ้าหน้าที่หน่วยงานภาครัฐที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับการพัฒนาของกลุ่มฯ จำนวน 3 คน 3. ปราชญ์ชาวบ้าน จำนวน 1 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษา คือ การศึกษาจากเอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้อง การสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก และการเสวนากลุ่มย่อย

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า การนำทุนทางสังคมมาใช้เพื่อการพัฒนากลุ่มฯสามารถแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ส่วน สรุปผลการศึกษาตามประเด็นได้ดังนี้ ในการก่อรูปของกลุ่มพบว่า ทุนทางสังคมที่อยู่ในตัวบุคคล โดยเฉพาะประธานกุล่ม และทุนที่อยู่ภายในกลุ่ม ที่แสดงออกในรูปของความสามัคคี ความร่วมมือร่วมใจ รวมทั้งเครือญาติ ล้วนมีความสำคัญต่อการก่อรูปกลุ่มทั้งสิ้น 2. ทุนทางสังคมมีความสำคัญอย่างมากกับการสร้างความเข้มแข็งและยั่งยืนของผลิตภัณฑ์ชุมชน และ 3. ทุนทางสังคมมีความสำคัญทั้งในฐานะปัจจัยภายในและปัจจัยภายนอก ผ่านการสร้างความร่วมมือภายในกลุ่ม และความร่วมมือกับบุคลและองค์กรภายนอกกลุ่ม ทั้งนี้มีแนวทางในการพัฒนากลุ่มฯให้สามารถพึ่งพาตนเองและพัฒนากลุ่มฯให้ไปสู่ความเข้มแข็งและยั่งยืน คือ 1. หน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และภาคประชาชน ต้องให้ความสำคัญอย่างจริงจัง ต่อเนื่องในการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนของกลุ่มฯ 2. การพัฒนาคนและการพัฒนาศักยภาพของคนถือเป็นหลักการที่สำคัญ เพราะเป็นการพัฒนาที่จะส่งผลต่อกลุ่มอันนำไปสู่ความเข้มแข็งและยั่งยืนต่อไป
