THE EFFECTS OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING ACTIVITIES WITH GAMES ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AND TEAMWORK SKILLS IN GEOGRAPHY SUBJECT OF GRADE 7 STUDENTS

Abstract

The purposes of this research study were to study the academic achievement in geography subject of grade 7 students who learned through cooperative learning activities with games, to study the effectiveness of cooperative learning activities with games on the academic achievement in geography subject of grade 7 students, and to study the teamwork skills of grade 7 students who learned through cooperative learning activities with games. The participants in this study were in grade 7 with a total of 28 students. The research tools used were a lesson plan using cooperative learning activities with games, a test to measure academic achievement in geography subject, and an assessment form for teamwork skills. The research design was a quasi-experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The statistical methods used to analyze the data included mean and standard deviation. The results of this research were as follows: 1. The academic achievement in geography subject on the unit "Asia" of grade 7 students using cooperative learning activities with games: Pre-test score 9.86 (µ = 9.86, σ = 11.76) , post-test score 20.43 (µ = 20.43, σ = 4.78). 2. The effectiveness Index (E.I.) of the cooperative learning activities with games on the academic achievement in the geography subject of grade 7 students was 0.5248. 3. The teamwork skills of grade 7 students who learned through cooperative learning activities with games were at a high level (µ = 4.32, σ = 0.70).

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน วิชาภูมิศาสตร์ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 ที่จัดการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือร่วมกับเกม 2) ศึกษาประสิทธิผลของการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือร่วมกับเกมที่มีต่อผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน วิชาภูมิศาสตร์ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 และ 3) ศึกษาทักษะการทำงานเป็นทีมของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 ที่จัดการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือร่วมกับเกม โดยประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 จำนวน 28 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ ที่ใช้ในการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้โดยใช้เกม แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน วิชาภูมิศาสตร์ และแบบประเมินทักษะการทำงานเป็นทีม รูปแบบการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยแบบกึ่งทดลอง One Group Pretest – Posttest Design สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน วิชาภูมิศาสตร์ หน่วยการเรียนรู้ เรื่อง ทวีปเอเชีย ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 ที่จัดการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือร่วมกับเกม มีค่าเฉลี่ยก่อนเรียนเท่ากับ 9.86 (µ = 9.86, σ = 11.76) หลังเรียนเท่ากับ 20.43 (µ = 20.43, σ = 4.78) 2. ดัชนีประสิทธิผล (E.I.) ของการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือร่วมกับเกมที่มีต่อผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน วิชาภูมิศาสตร์ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 เท่ากับ 0.5248 3. ทักษะการทำงานเป็นทีมของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 ที่จัดการเรียนรู้แบบร่วมมือร่วมกับเกม อยู่ในระดับมาก (µ = 4.32, σ = 0.70)
