QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ELDER IN HUA KHUNJAE SUBDISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, BAN BUENG DISTRICT, CHONBURI

Abstract

The research, Quality of life for elder in Hua Khunjae Subdistrict Municipality, Ban Bueng District, Chonburi, aims to 1) explore the quality of life for the elderly people in the specified area and 2) study factors relating the people’s quality of life’s level. The samplings included 271 males and females aged 60 years or older who live in Hua Khunjae subdistrict municipality, Ban Bueng, Chonburi. The sampling technique was employed, and the sample group then underwent random stratification and simple random again by questionnaires and data analysis using descriptive and inferential statistics.

The results indicated that 1) in terms of levels of the quality of life among the elderly in Hua Khunjae Subdistrict Municipality, Ban Bueng District, Chonburi, they are overall high. When individual aspects were considered, the highest average on the quality of life of the elderly was the environment, followed by the social relationship. The moderate level belongs to physical aspects while the lowest is mental one, respectively, and 2) factors related to the level of quality of life of the elderly were gender, age, marital status, education levels, occupation, monthly income, and accommodation. The study suggested that different genders, ages, occupations and income affect different quality of life at the statistically significant level of .05, which corresponds to the hypothesis. However, different marital status, education levels and accommodation did not affect the quality of life of the people in the area at the statistically significant level of .05, so the hypothesis was not corresponded.

การศึกษาวิจัยเรื่อง คุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุในเขตเทศบาลตำบลหัวกุญแจ อำเภอบ้านบึง จังหวัดชลบุรี มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุ ในเขตเทศบาลตำบลหัวกุญแจ อำเภอบ้านบึง จังหวัดชลบุรี 2) เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุ ในเขตเทศบาลตำบลหัวกุญแจ อำเภอบ้านบึง จังหวัดชลบุรี กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ ผู้ที่มีอายุ 60 ปีบริบูรณ์ขึ้นไป ทั้งเพศชายและเพศหญิง ที่อาศัยอยู่ในเขตเทศบาลตำบลหัวกุญแจ อำเภอบ้านบึง จังหวัดชลบุรี จำนวน 271 คน โดยเทคนิคการสุ่มตัวอย่าง (Sampling Technique) จากนั้นจะนำกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ได้สุ่มแบบชั้นภูมิ และสุ่มอย่างง่ายอีกครั้ง โดยการใช้แบบสอบถาม (Questionnaires) การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล โดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนาและสถิติเชิงอนุมาน

ผลการวิจัย ได้แก่ 1) ระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุ ในเขตเทศบาลตำบลหัวกุญแจ อำเภอบ้านบึง จังหวัดชลบุรี ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก เมื่อพิจารณารายด้าน พบว่า ด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด ระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุอยู่ในระดับมาก คือ ด้านสภาพแวดล้อม รองลงมาคือ ด้านความสัมพันธ์ทางสังคม ด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ด้านร่างกาย และค่าเฉลี่ยต่ำสุด คือ ด้านจิตใจ ตามลำดับ 2) ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุ ในเขตเทศบาลตำบลหัวกุญแจ อำเภอบ้านบึง จังหวัดชลบุรี จำแนก ได้แก่ เพศ อายุ สถานภาพ ระดับการศึกษา อาชีพ รายได้ต่อเดือน และที่พักอาศัย ผลการศึกษาพบว่า คุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุในเขตเทศบาลตำบลหัวกุญแจ อำเภอบ้านบึง จังหวัดชลบุรี ที่มีเพศ อายุ อาชีพ และรายได้ ที่แตกต่างกัน มีคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุ แตกต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 เป็นไปตามสมมติฐานที่ตั้งไว้ ส่วนคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุในเขตเทศบาลตำบลหัวกุญแจ อำเภอบ้านบึง จังหวัดชลบุรี ที่มีสถานภาพ ระดับการศึกษา และที่พักอาศัย ที่แตกต่างกัน มีคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุ ไม่แตกต่างกัน ที่ระดับนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ .05 ไม่เป็นไปตามสมมติฐานที่ตั้งไว้
