A Study of Creative Thinking and Constructing Scientific Model Ability for Twelfth Grade Students Using Model-Based Learning

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to compare creative thinking and constructing scientific model ability after using model-based learning with traditional instruction and to compared creative thinking and constructing scientific model ability after using model-based learning with the 70-percent criterion. The samples were obtained by cluster random sampling of 80 twelfth-grade students studying in the second semester of academic year 2019 at Wat Songtham School. There are 41 students for experimental group and 39 students for control group. The research instrument consisted of model-based learning lesson plans, traditional instruction lesson plans, creative thinking test and constructing scientific model ability test. The data was analyzed using Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test for independent sample and t-test for one sample.

The results indicated that:

1. The creative thinking of twelfth-grade students after learning using model-based learning were significantly higher than the traditional instruction at the .05 level of significant.

2. The creative thinking of twelfth-grade students after learning using model-based learning were statistically significantly higher than the 70-percent criterion at the .05 level of significant.

3. The constructing scientific model ability of twelfth-grade students after learning using model-based learning were significantly higher than the traditional instruction at the .05 level of significant.

4. The constructing scientific model ability of twelfth-grade students after learning using model-based learning were statistically significantly higher than the 70-percent criterion at the .05 level of significant.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความคิดสร้างสรรค์ และความสามารถในการสร้างแบบจำลองทางวิทยาศาสตร์ หลังการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แบบจำลองเป็นฐาน กับหลังการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบปกติ และเปรียบเทียบความคิดสร้างสรรค์ และความสามารถในการสร้างแบบจำลองทางวิทยาศาสตร์หลังการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แบบจำลองเป็นฐานกับเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนวัดทรงธรรม ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2562 จำนวน 2 ห้องเรียน ที่มาจากวิธีการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม แบ่งเป็น กลุ่มทดลอง 1 ห้อง จำนวน 41 คน และกลุ่มควบคุม 1 ห้อง จำนวน 39 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ประกอบด้วย แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แบบจำลองเป็นฐาน แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบปกติ แบบวัดความคิดสร้างสรรค์ และแบบวัดความสามารถในการสร้างแบบจำลองทางวิทยาศาสตร์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบ t-test แบบ Independent Sample และ การทดสอบ t-test แบบ One Sample

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 หลังเรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แบบจำลองเป็นฐาน สูงกว่าหลังเรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบปกติ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

2. ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 หลังเรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แบบจำลองเป็นฐาน สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

3. ความสามารถในการสร้างแบบจำลองทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 หลังเรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แบบจำลองเป็นฐาน สูงกว่าหลังเรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบปกติ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

4. ความสามารถในการสร้างแบบจำลองทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 หลังเรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แบบจำลองเป็นฐาน สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
