A STUDY OF LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT, ANALYTICAL THINKING, AND ATTITUDE TOWARDS CHEMISTRY BY USING ACTIVE LEARNING FOR ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the students’ learning achievement, 2) to compare students’ learning achievement after learning with 70 percent criteria, 3) to compare students’ analytical thinking before learning with after learning, and 4) to study attitude towards chemistry by using active learning. The participants were 42 eleventh grade students in the second semester of the 2023 academic year at Ban Bung "Uttasahakamnukhro" School. They were selected by cluster random sampling. The research instruments were 1) five lesson plans using active learning (IOC=4.4-4.8), 2) the learning achievement test comprising 40 multiple-choice questions (IOC=0.8-1.0, p=0.33-0.77, r=0.21-0.44, rcc=0.96), 3) an analytical thinking test comprising 15 multiple-choice questions (IOC=0.8-1.0, p=0.49-0.77, r=0.21-0.40, rcc=0.60), and 4) an attitude towards chemistry questionnaire consisted of 20 items using a Likert scale (IOC=0.80-1.00, r=0.21-0.66, rcc=0.69). The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, t-test for dependent samples, and t-test for one sample. The results were summarized as follows: 1) the posttest mean scores of students’ learning achievement after learning with the active learning were statistically significant higher than the pretest mean scores at the .05 level, 2) the posttest mean scores of students’ learning achievement after learning with the active learning were statistically significant higher than the 70 percent criteria at the .05 level, 3) the posttest mean scores of students’ analytical thinking after learning with the active learning were statistically significant higher than the pretest mean scores at the .05 level, and 4) the students’ attitude towards chemistry after learning with the active learning were at a high level (Mean = 4.36).

การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนของนักเรียน 2) เปรียบเทียบคะแนนหลังเรียนของนักเรียนกับเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 3) เปรียบเทียบการคิดวิเคราะห์ของนักเรียนก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียน และ 4) ศึกษาเจตคติต่อวิชาเคมีของนักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุก โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนบ้านบึง "อุตสาหกรรมนุเคราะห์" ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2566 จำนวน 42 คน ซึ่งได้มาโดยการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยได้แก่ 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุกจำนวน 5 แผน โดยมีค่าความเหมาะสมตั้งแต่ 4.4-4.8 2) แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน เป็นแบบปรนัยชนิดเลือกตอบ 4 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 40 ข้อ โดยมีค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้องตั้งแต่ 0.8-1.0 ค่าความยากง่ายตั้งแต่ 0.33-0.77 ค่าอำนาจจำแนกตั้งแต่ 0.21-0.44 และค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.96 3) แบบวัดการคิดวิเคราะห์ เป็นแบบปรนัยชนิดเลือกตอบ 4 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 15 ข้อ โดยมีค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้องตั้งแต่ 0.8-1.0 ค่าความยากง่ายตั้งแต่ 0.49-0.77 ค่าอำนาจจำแนกตั้งแต่ 0.21-0.40 และค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.60 และ 4) แบบสอบถามวัดเจตคติต่อวิชาเคมี เป็นแบบมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ ตามวิธีการของลิเคิร์ท จำนวน 20 ข้อ โดยมีค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้องตั้งแต่ 0.8-1.0 ค่าอำนาจจำแนกตั้งแต่ 0.21-0.66 และค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.69 สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบค่าทีแบบสองกลุ่มที่ไม่เป็นอิสระจากกัน และการทดสอบค่าทีแบบกลุ่มเดียว ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) คะแนนหลังเรียนของนักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุก สูงกว่าคะแนนก่อนเรียน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 2) คะแนนหลังเรียนของนักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุกสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 3) การคิดวิเคราะห์ของนักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุก หลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และ 4) เจตคติต่อวิชาเคมีของนักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้เชิงรุกโดยรวมมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.36 ซึ่งอยู่ในระดับมาก
