SATISFACTION ON THE WELFARE OF STAFFS IN THE 3rd INFANTRY BATTALION, 21st INFANTRY REGIMENT QUEEN'S GUARD.

Abstract

The study aims to achieve two things: 1) to examine satisfaction on welfare of staff in the 3rd Infantry Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment Queen’s Guard; and 2) to compare the satisfaction level on the welfare of staff in the 3rd Infantry Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment Queen’s Guard to personal factors. This was quantitative research employing a questionnaire as the main research tool to gather data of 150 samples. In data analysis, two parts of statistics were involved, including descriptive statistics by finding mean, percentage, and another part was statistics to test assumptions, which covered t-test, F-test (One-way ANOVA), as well as Least Significant Difference test (LSD).

It was found that the overall satisfaction level on the welfare of the staff was at a high level ( = 3.88). When looking into detail of satisfaction level in each aspect from large to small scales, it was ranged from satisfaction of health, work, social security, education, recreation, and housing, which appeared to be high, to satisfaction of having additional income, respectively.

As for the results of assumption testing to compare the level of staff’s satisfaction on the welfare with personal factors, the findings suggested that staff with different age, marital status, positions, and number of years in official service, had different levels of satisfaction on the welfare of the 3rd Infantry Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment Queen’s Guard at .05 level of statistical significance. The other personal factors, like official rank, educational levels, and average income per month yielded approximate satisfaction level.

การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์: 1) เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจต่อสวัสดิการของกำลังพล กองพันทหารราบที่ 3 กรมทหารราบที่ 21 รักษาพระองค์ ฯ และ 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความพึงพอใจต่อสวัสดิการของกำลังพล กองพันทหารราบที่ 3 กรมทหารราบที่ 21 รักษาพระองค์ ฯ กับปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ (Quantitative research) ใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือหลักในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจำนวน 150 ตัวอย่าง สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลแบ่งเป็น 2 ส่วน ได้แก่ สถิติเชิงพรรณนา ด้วยการหาค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าร้อยละ และสถิติที่ใช้ในการทดสอบสมมติฐาน ได้แก่ สถิติทดสอบแบบ t-test, F-test (One-way ANOVA) และการตรวจสอบหาความแตกต่างเป็นรายคู่โดยใช้วิธีของ Least Significant Difference test (LSD)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ความพึงพอใจต่อสวัสดิการของกำลังพล โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก ( = 3.88) เมื่อพิจารณาในรายละเอียดเป็นรายด้านจากมากไปหาน้อย ได้แก่ ด้านความพึงพอใจต่อสุขภาพอนามัย ด้านความพึงพอใจต่อการทำงาน ด้านความพึงพอใจต่อความมั่นคงในสังคม ด้านความพึงพอใจต่อการศึกษาด้านความพึงพอใจต่อการนันทนาการ ด้านความพึงพอใจต่อที่อยู่อาศัย อยู่ในระดับมาก และด้านความพึงพอใจต่อการมีรายได้เสริม ตามลำดับ

ส่วนผลการทดสอบสมมติฐานเพื่อเปรียบเทียบความพึงพอใจต่อสวัสดิการของกำลังพล จำแนกตามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล พบว่า กำลังพล มีอายุ สถานภาพการสมรส ตำแหน่ง และอายุราชการต่างกัน มีความพึงพอใจต่อสวัสดิการของกำลังพล กองพันทหารราบที่ 3 กรมทหารราบที่ 21 รักษาพระองค์ ฯ แตกต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลที่เหลือ คือ ประเภทชั้นยศ ระดับการศึกษา และรายได้เฉลี่ยต่อเดือน มีความพึงพอใจต่อสวัสดิการของกำลังพล กองพันทหารราบที่ 3 กรมทหารราบที่ 21 รักษาพระองค์ ฯ ไม่แตกต่างกัน
