Abstract: | The aim of this study is to develop a multi-objective optimization for Green Supply Chain Network Design (GSCND) that is centered around economic and environmental sustainability. The economic sustainability was assessed in terms of four supply chain costs (i.e., establishment, transportation, production, and holding costs). This economic model is an extension and the next iteration of the established benchmark. The environmental sustainability was measured using the ReCipe—a method of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). The environmental model was used to assess the impact of the established facilities (i.e., supplier, plant, and DCs) on environment. Several experiments were conducted. First, the results of the proposed economic model and benchmark were evaluated and the impact of costs on decision making was examined. Then, the economic and environmental sustainability of different facilities (i.e., supplier, plant, and DCs) and allocation routes under four different scenarios (demand, capacity, distance, and area) were evaluated. The result revealed interesting practical solution of the scenarios. - |
