QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE ELDERLY IN THE ELDERLY SOCIAL WELFARE DEVELOPMENT CENTER, BANBANGLAMUNG, CHON BURI PROVINCE

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the quality of life in the Elderly Social Welfare Development Centre, Banbanglamung, Chon Buri Province, and compare the quality of life classified by factors of demographics, family, residence and health. The representative samples are 92 elderly people in Banbanglamung Social Welfare Develoment Centre, and questionnaires as tools to gather information, analyze a using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, The research hypothesis was used Independent sample t-test, One-way ANOVA and differences were compared using Scheffe’s method

According to the results of the research, it was found that most of the older people have a quality of life in the middle range (96.74%) and the rest had a higher quality of life. When consideriny the quality of life of older people by each factor, it was found that they had a middle-level except deathanddying. Most of the older people have a good quality of life depending on how of the they participate in activities at the centre with those who never participate showing lower quality of life when the level of statistical significance is set at 0.05

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับคุณภาพชีวิตผู้สูงอายุในศูนย์พัฒนา การจัดสวัสดิการสังคมผู้สูงอายุบ้านบางละมุง จังหวัดชลบุรี และเปรียบเทียบคุณภาพชีวิตผู้สูงอายุจำแนกตามปัจจัยด้านประชากรศาสตร์ ปัจจัยด้านครอบครัว ปัจจัยการอยู่อาศัย และปัจจัย ด้านสุขภาพ กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ ผู้สูงอายุในศูนย์พัฒนาการจัดสวัสดิการสังคมผู้สูงอายุบ้านบางละมุง จำนวน 92 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้การแจกแจงความถี่ (Frequency) ค่าร้อยละ (Percentage) และ ค่าเฉลี่ย (Mean) และ ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (SD) และทดสอบสมมติฐานการวิจัยด้วยสถิติ Independent sample t-test, One-way ANOVA และเปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างรายคู่ด้วยวิธีของ Scheffe ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ผู้สูงอายุในศูนย์พัฒนาการจัดสวัสดิการสังคมผู้สูงอายุ บ้านบางละมุง จังหวัดชลบุรี ส่วนใหญ่มีคุณภาพชีวิตระดับปานกลาง (ร้อยละ 96.74) ส่วนที่เหลือ มีคุณภาพชีวิตระดับดี เมื่อพิจารณารายด้าน พบว่า ผู้สูงอายุส่วนใหญ่มีคุณภาพชีวิตระดับปานกลางทุกด้าน ยกเว้นด้านการเผชิญหน้ากับความตายส่วนใหญ่มีคุณภาพชีวิตในระดับดี และ การเปรียบเทียบคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุจำแนกตามปัจจัยด้านประชากรศาสตร์ ปัจจัย ด้านครอบครัว ปัจจัยการอยู่อาศัย และปัจจัยด้านสุขภาพ พบว่ามีการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมของผู้สูงอายุภายในศูนย์ ฯ ที่แตกต่างกันที่ทำให้ผู้สูงอายุมีคุณภาพชีวิตแตกต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ที่ระดับ .05 โดยพบว่าผู้สูงอายุที่ไม่เคยเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมในศูนย์เลยมีคุณภาพชีวิตต่ำกว่าผู้สูงอายุ ที่เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมนาน ๆ ครั้ง และบ่อยครั้ง
